Another Hall, but quite a different one, as it used to be a workhouse. Today it's a museum of rural life and one of our favourite place for a days out. As dogs aren't allowed, we took turns going in and taking walks with Dwinna. We also met two friends working there and had some very pleasant talks with them and with other people. It always surprises me agreeably how easily one can have conversations here, not only small talk, but real conversations.

Wir waren heute in Gressenhall, wieder ein Hall, aber ein ganz anderes, denn früher war es ein Armenhaus. Heute ist es ein Museum für das bäuerliche Leben. Es ist eines unserer Lieblingsmuseen. Da Hunde leider nicht erlaubt sind, haben wir uns abgewechselt mit dem Besuch und den Spaziergängen. Wir haben auch zwei Freunde getroffen, die in Gressenhall arbeiten und mit ihnen und anderen Menschen sehr interessante Gespräche geführt. Es überrascht mich immer wieder sehr angenehm, wie leicht man hier mit Mensch ins Gespräch kommt. Und zwar nicht nur Smalltalk, sondern richtige Gespräche.
"Morning red, rain on the elevenses bread" or so goes a German saying. And it's true here in England, too. But later in the day, the sky cleared and it got beautifully sunny and quite warm.
"Morgenrot, Regen aufs Znünibrot", stimmt auch hier in England. Doch später klärte sich der Himmel wieder, die Sonne kam raus und es war recht warm.
